At Wyngspan, we fully believe that trust is the most essential factor for businesses and professionals to be successful. As a company built on these principles, we look to hire employees who have this value in their ethos and feel that it is our obligation to instill it in our interns.
We launched the internship program at the beginning of 2013. These college students played a critical role in the pre-launch stage of our company. The program has continued to grow and we are excited to roll out a new format starting this summer.
What really sets the Wyngspan Internship Program apart is that we aren’t making these students get our coffee and water the plants. We get to know each intern’s strengths and interest and then harness them to help execute real activities critical to the growth of our company. Some of these duties include:
•Learn about the value of data collection, metrics and analysis for a start-up;
•Develop and execute marketing mini events;
•Author blogs and go through the editing and promotion process with our communications director;
•Get experience developing and presenting ideas in a Prezi to the management team; and
•Participate in a meaningful volunteer opportunity on a weekly basis.
Matt Lepore, Wyngspan COO, who helped develop the revamped program, put it best when he said, “Interns leave Wyngspan with a lasting group of professional contacts that are a good resource for future employment, collaboration and professional advice. But more importantly they have a deep understanding of how important the concept of trust will be throughout their careers.”
The Wyngspan Internship Program accepts rolling applications. We have the capability of remote internships in addition to the internship in our Boston Office, meaning interns can work from anywhere.
